The world of Runescape is just like our real world where you need to work in order to survive. Sure your character doesn't really need to eat everyday and it only needs to eat when in combat to increase your vitality and avoid dying and losing all your carried items unlike in the real world where we need money in order to buy food so we could survive our day to day lives. In Runescape, Runescape money or Runescape gold is just as important in order to buy the right armor and other items that could help your character increase its level's capacity to battle.
There are many ways of earning gold from Runescape. You can do it the right way or risk having your account banned for online real money trading for Runescape gold or for using bots to help you accumulate items that are worth some gold pieces each. Illegal means of earning Runescape gold should not be tolerated as it ruins the whole point of the game. Just like in the real world, there is an effect with the law of supply and demand. If there are no bots, the value of each item would be much higher as it takes time and real effort to get those items. You could collect lots of cow hides in a day and you could easily earn 50k a day from doing this.
Mining is also a great way to earn gold from Runescape. With mining, you need to be at least level 40 mining to mine coal which you could then sell for about 150 gold pieces each. Reaching level 40 won't take you the whole day. Just keep on mining lower level minerals such as copper then Iron so you would level up fast. Remember, when you mine sometimes some high level monsters would come and attack you so you better make sure that your character has a high enough level before you enter a mine so you won't die when you get attacked.
If you're good at mining already, you should also train in smithing. This is a great way of earning Runescape gold as players need different armor and they'd be much willing to buy your armors and weapons. If you have a high level in smithing, you can smith Rune platebody, platelegs, and rune weapons that are sold for at least 35k each depending on the item. It takes a lot of time to train in smithing but it's very rewarding. Also, with smithing, you could just smith your armor and weapons for yourself so there's no need to buy them whenever you end up dying after a battle.
Runecrafting is also a great way of earning money from Runescape. Runes are really useful and when you craft these runes, you could sell them or use them for yourself. As your Runecrafting level increases, you would notice that in every time you craft runes you would end up making more runes. At first it can be time consuming to craft a few runes but when your level increases, you could craft hundreds of runes in no time. These runes are used for maging so if you want to increase your mage level, you would need runes to practice your magic as well.
Woodcutting in Runescape is probably the most popular. You can start training your wood cutting by cutting logs that are worth nothing and just drop them or it would be best if you would also train your firemaking and by using the logs for training. If you reach level-15 woodcutting, you can cut down oak and sell them to general stores for 2 gold pieces each. It's not much but at least you are already earning from your training. Once you reach level 30, it's time to cut down willows. Willows can be sold for 30 gold pieces each if you have at least a thousand in bank notes. Players usually prefer to buy large amounts of willows for a higher price. The best place to cut willows is on Draynor Village just to the left of the Draynor bank. That area is usually populated with lots of wood cutters but there are lots of willow trees so you could still easily cut down willows in this area. When you reach level 60, you can already cut down yews. Yews take a lot of time to chop so having a rune axe is a must. Also, in level 60 it is still not advisable that you go and cut yews right away as it takes a lot of time. Try to get a much higher level by cutting willows. Willows increases your woodcutting level much faster as they're cut much quicker. When you're good enough to cut yews, collect as many yews and sell them in World 1, Varrock's west bank for 300 gold pieces each!
Trading items is a great way to earn money too! Buy items for a much lower value and collect them to get thousands then sell them to a much higher price to other players!
